The James Hanley
Network

The James Hanley Network is an informal international association for all those interested in exploring and publicising the works and contribution to literature of the novelist and dramatist James Hanley (1901 - 1985). An annual Newsletter is now being established, and more formal publications and the organisation of an occcasional conference are all planned for the future.

    All enquiries are always welcome.

The Network is particularly concerned to find new ways of publicising James Hanley and his work, so that it might achieve a wider audience, and attract greater critical attention. The Network played an important role in facilitating the Centenary Conference to celebrate Hanley's birth, held at Jesus College, Cambridge, in September 2001, and it is hoped that the wide variety of papers from that successful event will eventually be published. Meantime, any ideas or suggestions as to how these various objectives might be achieved, and any offers of help will always be appreciated.
